An evening of ecstatic dance and storytelling at RAW — and a reflection on grief, attention, and becoming a cosmic witch.

I was recently interviewed for Studying Somatics, a Bath Spa University research project exploring ecstatic dance. In the conversation, I shared my journey from discovering dance in lockdown to becoming artist in residence with Ecstatic Dance Culture, and spoke about the role of visuals, full moon rituals, and the importance of building community through movement and art.

For July's Buck Moon dance, I experimented with something entirely new: a full narrative arc woven through live visuals. The result was an alchemical unfolding that guided dancers through mythic transformation — from shadow masculine archetypes to healed presence, crowned in antlers of reclaimed power. A feminine-led ritual where story, sound, movement, and healing became one embodied offering.
