I'm thrilled to announce my participation in The Incidentals, a group exhibition at Bell House as part of the Dulwich Festival Artists’ Open House 2025.

This exhibition invites viewers to reconsider the significance of overlooked or seemingly incidental objects, gestures, and moments, exploring how chance shapes our perceptions.
Within the Lucas Room, curated by Monika Kita, the focus narrows to the evolving natural environment, particularly rock formations. Alongside artists Nilofar Akmut, Minna Etein, and Monika Kita, we delve into themes of transformation and impermanence, reflecting on the subtle, often unnoticed changes that define our landscapes.

About:
Curated Space: Lucas Room - Curated by Monika Kita
This exhibition brings together four artists whose works explore the evolving natural environment, such as rock formations and the incidental transformations that occur over time. The central theme, Incidental, examines the subtle, often unnoticed changes that shape the natural world and our perception of it. Through diverse media—photography, moving image, sound, installation, painting, and drawing—the artists reflect on the dynamic processes that define our landscapes, and shape them in imperceptible and profound ways.
The works in this exhibition engage with the fluidity of nature’s transformations and the tension between permanence and impermanence. The incidental nature of these transformations—whether through erosion, time, or myth—invites reflection on the complex relationship between humanity and the ever-changing environment. These pieces offer a powerful reminder of the forces that shape our world in ways we may not always recognise but that ultimately define our experience of it.
Artists: Nilofar Akmut, Minna Etein, Danielle Jacques, Monika Kita
In the realm of incidentals, the unnoticed becomes essential, the fleeting becomes felt.
